Chain Reaction!
Become an inventor and work together to make an elaborate chain reaction, also known as a Rube Goldberg machine.
A Rube Goldberg Machine is a contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and complicated way. Think of a line of dominos that'll end up pushing a juice cartoon over to fill up a single glass. It would've been easier to simply just pour the juice by hand, but where's the fun in that?
We'll be challenging you to use toys, balls, dominoes, pulleys, levers and electronics to make your own chain reaction machine.
Come with family, friends, or on your own, and choose together what happens next in this brilliant contraption!

Important information:
The activity will last around 45 minutes, with 15 minutes at the end to show the machine in action. There will usually be 2 sessions per day.
Each session will have limited places - only a certain number can join the 'build' section. Groups can sign up to reserve a space on a sign-up sheet outside the Studio on the day of the event. If there's space, walk-ups can join in.
A larger audience can join the 'show' part of the session to watch the final chain reaction. We'll open the Studio doors for people to gather round, no booking required.
