A better world is possible!
With COP26 taking place in Glasgow from 31 Oct – 12 Nov, we’re focusing on sustainability and climate action in our activities programme this autumn.
We're looking at the personal actions, both small and large, that we can all take to move towards a more sustainable future.
The activities below are free with your day ticket. They don't need to be pre-booked, but as each activity has limited capacity, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
You can also add a Planetarium show to your visit. Booking is essential, so don't forget to add tickets to your basket along with your day tickets.
Whilst we're doing all we can to provide activities as listed, the timings below are subject to change. Please check when you arrive at the venue.
1 Nov - 17 Dec
Included with a general admission ticket.
Here's what's on this autumn:
11.00 A Better World is Edible - in the Kitchen on Level 0, cook up some scrumptious sustainable snacks and share ideas about how the food we eat affects our planet
11.30 Something Small - a brand new story for the under 7s, featuring Ursa and Leo and their animal friends
14.00 Green Manure? Pop into the Greenhouse on Level 0 and explore the science behind sustainable growing.
13.30 Can Machines Understand Emotion? In Open City Lab on Level 0, get involved in current research as we train an artificial intelligence to recognise emotion in human faces
What is science to you? Does science mean the same to everyone? Join us in Open City Lab (Level 0) to hear from different people about what science means to them and let us know what science means to you.
