Winter season: Earth-Friendly Festivities

Our climate action theme continues over the Winter with lots of hands-on activities exploring how we can make our  celebrations kinder on our environment.

In our activity spaces over the festive season, you can:

  • Create your own beautiful decorations in the  Eco Invention Workshop. Make laser-cut snowflakes, paper-house lanterns and decorations made from willow grown in Somerset!
  • Investigate festive feasts in the Kitchen (what does make gravy taste so good?) and do a spot of winter planting in the Greenhouse
  • Join us in the quest for the perfect planet in live science show Expedition Earth
  • For some extra sparkle, head up to the Planetarium for guided tours of the glittering winter night sky in Winter Stargazing 3D (Age 6+). Alternatively, little ones and their families can set out on a voyage of discovery in Space Explorers (2D).

Planetarium shows are an additional £3.50 per person for a 3D show and £2.50 per person for a 2D show. You will have the option to add your choice of show to booking before you reach the online checkout. Alternatively, you can book in when you arrive. Please note shows do sometimes sell out at busy times!
