Community membership
If you’re part of a charity or group working in and for the community, then our community membership scheme may be for you.
It’s designed to support charities, not for profit organisations and services, whose purpose is to support individuals who face barriers to accessing We The Curious.
As a community member, you can arrange for your group to visit us for free, as many times as you like.

FAQs
No unfortunately not. Membership isn't transferable, and you will need to carry ID with you when you visit.
You can always add additional people onto your membership if you think they’ll visit a lot. Please contact our team in advance of your visit if you need to do this. If they’re only going to visit once, you can purchase a day ticket for them.

Yes you can. You should’ve been issued with a gift voucher, which you can redeem against membership. You won’t be able to use this online, instead we ask that you get in touch with our team as soon as possible to redeem your membership.
Please email membership@wethecurious.org with your gift voucher number and we’ll then get back in touch with you to get your membership set up.
Yes absolutely, anyone that already has a membership for We The Curious will still be able to use it as they were before.
You won’t be able to access our new member benefits until you renew.
If you’ve already got a We The Curious membership, you’ll be able to choose between our new peak and off peak options when it's time for you to renew. Until then, your benefits, pricing and when you can visit remain the same.
Thank you so much for your support through annual direct debit. As a charity, we have limited resources and so have been looking for ways to make our operations more efficient.
Direct debits are a vital source of regular income for us, but they’re also pretty resource-heavy to administer, so we’ve made the decision to only offer monthly direct debit as a payment option going forwards.
If you are currently paying by annual direct debit, we’ll move you across to a peak membership monthly direct debit instead. If you’d prefer our new off-peak membership, or you’d like to cancel, just let us know within 14 days of your renewal date.

We’re proud to continue to offer concession memberships, which are 25% cheaper than the standard options. Unfortunately we're not able to set these up online at this moment, so do please get in touch with our team to sign up.
It’s no longer possible to build your own membership package.
When we redesigned the membership scheme, we needed to balance making our operations more efficient while also remaining accessible and inclusive to as many people as possible. As part of this we reviewed and reduced the number of different membership packages we had available (behind the scenes, due to various fiddly things, we had A LOT – around 50 membership levels, in fact!).
Where possible, we’ll move you over to an equivalent membership level that still provides you with the same access.
Where it isn’t possible to move you over to an equivalent membership level, we’ll be in touch to recommend that you sign up for a different level.
An example of how this works:
If you previously had a membership for 1 adult and 3 children, or for 2 adults and 2 children, we can move you over to a ‘Group 4’ membership. However, if you previously had membership for 4 adults, we can’t move you over to a ‘Group 4’ membership as this can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults. In this scenario, you’ll need to decide which membership level is best for you.
For more information on this -
We’re working hard to make this happen, but we weren’t able to do it at the same time as everything else. We hope to have this ready in August.
If you currently have a membership for more than 5 people, our team will be in touch with you directly to discuss options.
Child membership is only available to buy through our team – in venue, over the phone, or email.
This is to ensure that we capture the contact details or an appropriate adult for communications and financial processes.
Please note, under 12s must be accompanied at all times in our venue, including in the planetarium.
