Home educator sessions

Get to know the living, breathing, creative world of science that's all around you at our termly home educator sessions.

Dates for your diary

Our dedicated home educator sessions offer an incredible opportunity to bring science to life, build confidence and deepen learning.

Over the next academic year, we're running one session each term on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 11 November 2026
  • Friday 29 January 2027
  • Friday 21 May 2027

Tickets will be available to book soon.

Sign up to our Home Educator mailing list to be notified when tickets go on sale.

Don't forget home educators can come and visit us anytime at a special rate of £8.50. We're open Tues-Sunday and recommend visiting after 2pm, when the venue tends to be quieter.

This year's home educator programme

Each day includes a selection of our best education activities, catering for a range of key stages.

Alongside this you'll have time to explore over 200 exhibits and interactive activities that spark curiosity. And you can discover new perspectives amongst the stars in the Planetarium (additional charge applies).

Looking for something more bespoke? If you're able to co-ordinate a group looking for the same thing, you can book one of the other activities that we offer within our broader education programme.

To do this, you'll need one contact that's happy to manage the booking process and act as co-ordinator for the group on the day.
