October Half Term

Can you build a spooky chain reaction machine or engineer the ultimate paper plane? 

Fancy trying your hand at making pasta or setting out on a search for alien life? 

Step inside our rainbow entrance this holiday to explore over 200 exhibits, from light-up brains to walk-through tornadoes, and take part in our special half-term activities. 

What's on this October half term:

Take Flight - Engineer the ultimate paper plane and then put it through its paces in our pop-up airfield in the Theatre of Curiosity.

Autumn Kitchen - Enjoy seasonal flavours in the kitchen. Have a go at making some delicious ravioli or get decorative with sugar glass.

Spooky Chain Reaction - Work together to build a large working machine out of everyday items – with some fun extras for Halloween!

Storytelling - Under 7s can join Ursa and Leo on their daily adventure in the Studio.

All these activities are included in your day ticket. Check the times for the day on the activities screen on arrival. 

In the Planetarium

Add tickets to the UK's only 3D planetarium for just £4 per person (£3 concession). 

Join us in the search for aliens in Life in the Universe 3D (also in 2D) or fly through the rings of Saturn in seasonal stargazing show Colossal Cosmos 3D.

Please note excessive use of 3D glasses by children under 6 is not recommended. Our Space Explorers 2D show is perfect for children under 6. 

Outside on Anchor Square

The Great Bristol Ball Run - six wooden ball runs including a titling maze, skittle alley and one as tall as a double decker bus. Balls cost £6 and you can come back to play as often as you like.
