Does Bristol need a new train station? Rollercoaster? Dinosaur park? Our 25th birthday celebrations continue this October Half Term with a playful look ahead to what comes next.

What's on this October Half Term:

  • Join us to create a mini city of the future from colourful straws, connectors, and your imaginations in our Theatre of Curiosity. Add some personality to your structure, let it do the talking, and then watch as the city grows throughout the day.
  • Head over to the Open City Lab for some survival challenges in Research Island Rescue.
  • Stop by the Greenhouse to eat gummy bears (and explore taste and genetics) in Grow Your Own Taste-Test.
  • Take your seat for a spot of time travel in science show ‘Blast to the past’.
  • join us in the Kitchen to explore the five tastes and what you can make with them in Tongue-Twisting Tastes.
In the Planetarium

Add tickets to the UK's only 3D planetarium for just £4 per person (£3 concession).

Join us in the search for aliens in Life in the Universe 3D (also in 2D) or explore the lifecycle of stars in seasonal stargazing show Colossal Cosmos 3D.

Due to eye health restrictions, 3D shows aren't suitable for children under 6. Instead little ones and their grown-ups can pack their space bags and prepare for launch in interactive show Spin the Spaceship 2D.

There will be daily drop-in sessions lasting 30 mins. No need to book - check the Greenhouse/foyer noticeboard for times on the day.
