Be inspired by the famous Barky Boats game that Bluey and her family play, with a special event on Millennium Square this September.

In partnership with much-loved TV show Bluey, we're inviting families everywhere to embrace more play, connection and fun in their everyday lives.

At this one-off special event, you'll: 

  • discover a brand-new Bluey mural
  • meet-and-greet with Bluey throughout the afternoon*
  • create your own Barky Boats and test them in our water features

This is a free event, open to all, but booking is essential.

Celebrating iconic Bluey moments of play, the mural is part of a global series appearing in locations around the world, including Brisbane, São Paulo, and Washington DC. 

The Bristol mural artwork is created by Ludo Studio and painted by local artists Phoebe Tonkin, Tanith Gould, Alice Humphreys, Joe’s Murals and Nina Raines, curated and managed by Bristol-based public art producer Art Sync. 

Can't make this event? You can still come down to Millennium Square and enjoy the mural until the end of October.

/ This event is completely free to attend, however we strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance - it's set to be popular!

 

/ Tickets will be available to book on Monday 14 September at midday. Mark those calendars!

 

/ Each child attending must have their own ticket. All children will need to be accompanied by an adult to be permitted entry. Adults do not require tickets. Please ensure there are no more than two adults per child ticket booked.

 

/ You'll need a valid ticket for each member of your group in order to gain entry to the event or the queue.

 

/ A limited number of tickets may be available on the day, but this isn't guaranteed.

 

/ Please note that children will need water shoes to access the water feature and take part in the Barky Boat activity. We recommend wellington boots to prevent feet and clothes from getting wet, or bring a change of clothes.

 

/ Millennium Square has public toilets available to use, but we recommend a tactical wee before you arrive!

The full experience lasts approximately between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on group size and pace - just enough time to enjoy all the fun … hooray! Please note, this activation may involve a short wait before you can enter the space (+20 mins).

The experience is designed for children and their families. While there’s no strict age limit, it’s best suited for children aged 2-10, and all children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult throughout the activation.
