Day visit activity

Book a day ticket

This Summer we've got three fun activities in the kitchen, all delving into food chemistry and how we can eat sustainably.

Learn a bit more about what our food is made of and some of the hidden chemistry that goes in to cooking, have a fun tasting experience and learn some new foody skills to try at home!

Activities on offer:

The Big Green Grill-Off

Love a BBQ? Not sure about all the meat? Become a sustainable chef as you invent and cook your own meat-free burgers.

Supercool Sorbet

How can salt help things freeze? Use some clever chemistry to make sorbet in minutes.

Will it Mix?

We’ve heard that oil and water don’t mix but, with a bit of science, we reckon they might. It’s time to get saucy – and make some mayonnaise!

Activities running will vary depending on term time verses weekends and holidays. Please always check the activity screens on arrival to see which activities are running at what time each day.
